With the release of the Motorola Droid, HTC clearly has a competitor in the Android market. Their response has yet to be seen, but could very well be a strong one. The HTC Passion or HTC Dragon, which has been rumored for quite some time might see the light of day in early 2010. According to DigiTimes, the phone will sport a 1GHZ Snapdragon processor and will feature a 3.5-inch multitouch OLED display. The HTC Passion is still rumored for a Verizon debut.

Announced back in October, T-Mobile’s latest Android-powered mobile device, the Samsung Behold II,  will be available in stores November 18th for a price tag of $229.99. The Behold II will ship featuring a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera, and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI running on top of Android 1.5. For those who want a powerful Android device, the Motorola Droid is a much better choice. However, the AMOLED screen and camera on the Behold II make it an appealing phone to purchase.

Verizon Motorola Droid

It’s official, the Motorola Droid will land on Verizon on November 6th. Being the first Android 2.0 device, the Motorola Droid brings lots to the table. The phone will feature Visual Voicemail, a 3.7-inch screen with a resolution of 854 x 480, a 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, and will ship with a 16GB memory card. The phone also has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3G, WiFi, and the all new Google Maps Navigation. The Droid will be available on contract for $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate.
