Pictures of iPod nano with camera re-emerge

Last year a number of leaks and photos suggested that Apple had a redesigned iPod nano with an integrated camera in the works. The new device wasn’t released last time Apple refreshed its iPod family, but now another round of pictures has surfaced that lends credence to the possibility that such a device may launch in the near future. The images show a camera-equipped iPod nano complete with its signature clip design, and the device appears to be the same size as the current-generation iPod nano. In the upcoming book “Inside Apple,” it is explained that Steve Jobs expressed great interest in light field camera maker Lytro. Nokia Lumia 910 may arrive in May with 12-megapixel camera

Nokia may be preparing to launch a new Lumia flagship Windows Phone this spring. Industry insider Eldar Murtazin said the Lumia 910 could launch in Europe as soon as this May. The Lumia 900, Nokia’s upcoming flagship device, is expected to land in Europe a few months later in June of this year. Murtazin didn’t provide any details on the Lumia 910 other than the inclusion of a 12-megapixel camera. Polaroid announces the Android-powered SC1630 Smart Camera

Polaroid shocked the Consumer Electronics Show on Tuesday when the company announced a new camera powered by Android. The Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera is a 3.2-inch device, and it features a whopping 16-megapixel camera capable of 3x optical zoom on a 36-108mm lens. When connected to Wi-Fi, users can instantly upload their images to social networking sites and will also even have access to the Android Market. Sony announces the Xperia S with 4.3-inch display and 12-megapixel camera

Sony announced another addition to the company’s Xperia line at the Consumer Electronics Show late Monday, the Sony Xperia S. The smartphone features 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 1280 x 720 display, 1GB of RAM, and a massive 12 megapixel rear camera, complete with Sony’s Exmor R backlit sensor. The Xperia S will be available in both 16GB and 32GB models, though unfortunately Sony has chosen not to include a microSD slot for expandable storage. Pricing is not yet available, but the Xperia S is due to start shipping sometime in March worldwide.

What would the Consumers Elec be without Apple rumors overshadowing most of the announcements? iLounge‘s Jeremy Horwitz has taken to Twitter to break down some of the leaked iPad 3 information he’s hearing. First off, it’s being reported that in addition to the rear camera on the iPad 3 being dramatically upgraded to be on par with the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S camera, the front-facing camera will allow for FaceTime HD video chatting.
