Last week, Nikon announced what would be the king of it’s class. Today, Canon is stealing the throne. With a couple of teaser videos and a website out earlier, Canon has officially announced the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV. Specs wise, the camera features a 16.1 megapixel APS-H CMOS sensor, 1080p HD video, ISO range of 100 to 12,800 expanded to 102,400 ISO (similar to Nikon’s D3), 45-point autofocus system with 39 high-precision cross-type focusing points, and dual Digic 4 processors. Out in December the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV will cost $4999. Check out this camera’s video capabilities with a short by Vincent Laforet after the break.
